New Forced and Child Labour Prohibition Measures Have Come into Force

The Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (the “Act”) came into force on January 1, 2024. The Act contains two parts. The first part imposes reporting requirements on certain businesses, government entities, and organizations to combat child labour and forced labour. The second part amends the Customs Tariff to prohibit the importation of goods mined, manufactured, or produced by child and forced labour.
