Called to the Ontario Bar in 1996, Michael's area of practice is Business Law, dealing mainly with:

- Distributorship Agreements
- Shareholders' Agreements and Disputes
- Technology Licences and Related Agreements
- Employment Law
- Succession in Family Businesses
- Trusts, Estate Planning and Administration
Michael joined Houser, Henry & Syron LLP in December, 1995 shortly before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. Michael became a partner in 2002.

Education
Michael graduated in 1991 with distinction from the University of Toronto with a bachelor of arts. He studied law at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario and graduated with a bachelor of laws in 1994.
Professional Associations
Michael is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the American Bar Association (Business Law Section), and L'Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (International Association of Young Lawyers).
Community Involvement
Michael has served as the chair of the "Annual Fund" fund-raising campaign of St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto, and as treasurer of the St. Michael's College Alumni Association.
