How John serves our clients
John’s practice is distinguished by the quality and longevity of his client relationships. They have looked to him for many years as a confidante as well as a legal advisor. He is closely integrated in many of their key business transactions.
John serves as primary outside counsel, providing legal advice on the purchase and sale of multi-residential buildings and office, retail and industrial properties; commercial financings, including construction financing for developers; assembling parcels of land for development; and drawing up commercial and industrial leases. While most of his clients are based in Ontario, John also advises out-of-province and foreign companies that have significant business holdings here.
Introduced to Houser Henry through both his personal and professional relationships, John was immediately impressed with the opportunity to bring his entrepreneurial sensibility to the firm and to his clients. He thrives within our collegial and collaborative culture. John earned his law degree at the University of Western Ontario and his BA from the University of Toronto.
A personal perspective
The consummate family man, John enjoys spending his time away from work with his wife, their five children and their families, including their two wonderful grandchildren. John enjoys travelling and brings family members along whenever possible.
