How Connie supports our team
Connie helms our Law Library and Knowledge Services, helping us to manage information and use knowledge effectively. With more than 25 years as a leader in her field, Connie brings expertise in legal, business and industry research, news monitoring and digital resources.
Connie holds a Master of Library Science from the University of Toronto and is also certified in Information Management and Records Management Fundamentals by the University of Toronto’s iSchool Institute, where she received the Award for Outstanding Teaching for her social media courses.
She is Yellow Belt certified in Legal Lean Sigma© and Legal Project Management©. For many years, Connie worked as a law firm library manager and in 2007 started her own consulting practice in knowledge management. She enthusiastically signed on with us in 2015, after learning our vision and seeing that we are a law firm that really “gets it.”
Connie serves as the President of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries and focusses on raising the profile of legal information professionals. Frequently asked to speak for industry organizations, Connie is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the American Bar Association Knowledge Strategy Interest Group.
A personal perspective
In 2013, Connie walked the Camino Frances pilgrimage route for six weeks, covering 26 km a day for a total journey of 780 km. In 2014 and 2015, she rode 660 km in the Friends for Life Bike Rally from Toronto to Montreal to support the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.
